In our opinion, the Equalizer is an excellent puzzle because it encompasses most of the characteristics of a good puzzle: it's interesting to look at and it isn't so difficult that it will drive a person crazy. Equalizer is what puzzles were intended to be: fun.

I originally came across this design in Richard Hess' "Compendium of Wire Puzzles". Since we started making it, a few creative individuals have presented us with their own versions of Equalizer, including a couple that would best be described as risque!
